Meet LaMonica Hodges
Family Nurse Practitoner
LaMonica is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Born and raised in Mississippi, LaMonica graduated from Gentry High School. She received her Practical Nursing Certification at Coahoma Community College in 2009. While continuing her education, she gained her Associates Degree in Nursing from Hinds Community College in 2012. Then advancing her career by completing a Master’s Degree of Science in Nursing, 2015 at Walden University.
Throughout her entire nursing career, LaMonica’s main focus has been in Family Medicine. She began her career in a local Health Center where she first worked as a staff nurse. As a Registered Nurse she worked in the field as a home health nurse then quickly transitioned to business owner of an allied health school that trained CNAs, MAs, Phlebotomists and Pharmacy Techs. After completing her master’s program she opened her independent practice as Nurse Practitioner before going to Medical School 3 years later.
She is currently a 4th year medical student at Washington University of Health and Science and completing a third Master’s for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Wilkes University that will be complete April 2024. In her spare time she enjoys traveling with her family and cuddling up with a good movie.

I treat each patient individually and specifically. It's important for me to know the patient so that I can best provide treatment based on their beliefs and values. There is no such thing as a miracle pill and I don't use my ability to prescribe as such.
