As the part-time Family Nurse Practitioner Supervisor at Doctor Schechter Family Medical Group in Atascadero, CA since 2017, I have prioritized improving patient care through telehealth services. By diagnosing and treating chronic medical conditions via video and phone consultations, I’ve made healthcare more accessible and convenient, leading to better patient compliance and health outcomes. Managing telehealth has allowed me to reach patients who might otherwise miss in-person visits, ensuring they stay on track with their healthcare plans. In addition, I developed and lead the Medical Aesthetic department, overseeing treatments like laser procedures and injectables. I also supervise clinical staff, mentor students, and collaborate with specialists to develop protocols that enhance clinical efficiency and ensure the delivery of high-quality care. As a part-time Family Nurse Practitioner at California Coast Family Practice in Atascadero, CA, since January 2022, I assess, diagnose, and manage a variety of primary care patients, focusing on chronic conditions like Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, Gout, Hyperlipidemia, Low Testosterone, TSH issues, obesity, Hypertension, COPD/Asthma, anxiety, and depression. I’ve leveraged telehealth services, utilizing video and phone consultations to provide remote care, which has been particularly beneficial for immune-compromised patients during the COVID pandemic. I also mentor interns from prestigious institutions such as Yale, Northern Colorado, USC, and Touro-Nevada University, and I collaborate with specialists in fields like urology, endocrinology, and dermatology to ensure comprehensive patient care. As a full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Registered Nurse at the State Hospital in the Department of Mental Health since June 2015, I specialize in managing acute and chronic psychiatric care for mentally ill patients who may pose a danger to themselves or others. I collaborate closely with psychiatry, psychology, and social work teams to ensure that each patient receives comprehensive care throughout their treatment. My role includes monitoring patients' mental health status, evaluating the effectiveness of psychiatric medications, and coordinating care with community treatment teams for safe reintegration into society when appropriate. I also work with conditional release programs to facilitate smooth transitions. My work in this high-security environment emphasizes patient and staff safety, allowing for effective treatment of severe mental health conditions.View all
