Meet Maria Steiner-Renoir
An Integrative Approach to Psychiatry and Wellness
Welcome to my world of holistic psychiatry and mental wellness!
I’m Maria, a dual-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), dedicated to guiding individuals towards vibrant mental and physical health.
I help adults facing anxiety, depression, trauma/PTSD, and other mental disorders to regain their vitality and centeredness, create a better understanding of self, and achieve closer relationships with others. I specialize in working with women facing major life transitions and events such as divorce, adoption, birth, moving, severe illness, and death in the family.
While I work with patients of all backgrounds, I am especially equipped to offer culturally competent care to first or second-generation immigrants struggling with issues of acculturation and self-acceptance. I support patients in discovering their self-worth and confidence while fostering a sense of belonging by working through their generational traumas and thought patterns that no longer serve them.
My holistic approach to care considers patients’ physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Together, we’ll create personalized treatment plans that may include mindfulness exercises, supplements, medication, therapy, self-care rituals, nutrition protocols, and exercise plans.

My philosophy
As a dual-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), I take a holistic approach: I consider patients’ physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Together, we create personalized treatment plans that may include mindfulness exercises, supplements, medication, therapy, and lifestyle adjustments.
I prioritize overall wellness, not just symptom management. I empower patients to actively participate in their mental and physical health journey.
I reject the notion of a “one size fits all” approach to mindcare and wellness. My collaborative, personalized treatment plans are created with respect to your values, concerns, trepidations, and belief systems. Let’s create a personalized action plan as unique as you are!
