- Obtain and review patient’s medical and psychosocial history information relevant to patient care.
- Prescribes weight loss medications such as Semaglutide (Ozempic, wegovy), Tirzepatide (Mounjaro), HCG injections, Phentermine (Adipex), as well as NuLean (one week replacement program).
- Review patient’s progress and manage patient care accordingly.
- Educate patients on comprehensive weight loss programs and dietary changes.

Family Nurse Practitioner

- Responsible for conducting a thorough physical assessment and medical/surgical history for interventional radiology patients.
- Evaluates patients pre-and post-procedures.
- Prescribes out-patient medications according to New York State law, including controlled substances with DEA authorization.
- Educates patients regarding their disease and treatment.
- Identifies potential candidates for clinical research trials.
- Works in collaboration with the attending supervising/collaborating physician in accordance with state law and hospital regulations, hospital policy, protocols and clinical pathways.

Family Nurse Practitioner Neurosurgery: Interventional Neuroradiology 

- Works collaboratively with the attending physician, consulting physician(s), and other disciplines to identify, develop, and implement an appropriate plan of care that maximizes individual patient/family preference and enhances quality, access, and cost-effective outcomes.
- Prescribes medical equipment, devices, physical and occupational therapy, and home health services per practice protocol.
- Prescribes out-patient medications according to New York State law, including controlled substances with DEA authorization.
- Formulates the plan of care, along with the attending physician, patient and family, based on expected goals of care and length of stay.
- Orders customary laboratory, radiological and diagnostic studies per practice protocols, differentiates between normal/abnormal findings and follows protocols for abnormal findings, which may include referral to consulting physicians per customary pattern of the attending MD or with the collaborating physician

Family Nurse Practitioner Neurosurgery: Spine/Brain

- Provide exceptional care and prevention plans including informing patients and the public about various health conditions, advice and emotional support to patients and their family members and responsible for assisting in developing plans related to improving the patients’ conditions in various units of the hospital that led to promotion to critical cases. 
- Assist top neurosurgeons in establishing a care plan for patients who have undergone spinal surgery as well as developing pain management plan with the acute pain team, ensuring proper adjustment of pain relievers considering the patients mental and physical conditions. Collaborated with the interdisciplinary spine team for post-operative complications preventions.
- Monitor patients and inform the neurosurgeons on any change in the mental status postoperatively by recommending the best possible action for each patient.

Registered Professional Nurse

- Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice.
- Observing and interpreting patient’s symptoms and communicating them to physicians.
- Counsel and educate patients and their families on treatment plans.
- Administer medications, change wound dressings and care for other treatments options.
- Execute and assist in basic cardiac life support (BCLS) and other condition-stabilizing intervention during emergency cases and medical procedures, as well as blood and blood product transfusions or IV infusions, and IV fluids including total parenteral nutrition (TPN), and phlebotomy procedures via venipuncture for laboratory tests.

An initial visit with a provider typically includes a medical history review, an assessment of your specific symptoms and concerns, and a treatment plan. 

Provides a structured approach to weight loss through the use of approved medications alongside lifestyle change.

A follow-up visit with a provider involves checking the progress of the patient's treatment plan, assessing any new symptoms or managing side-effects of the treatment plan.  

A medication refill appointment with a provider typically involves a brief review of the existing patient's medical history, side effects of the medication, and review of the assigned questionnaire. A telemedicine visit is typically not necessary, but can be requested at the provider's discretion.
