Worked full-time at River Crest Psychiatric hospital. Responsible for the medication management, daily assessment, referral, and discharge of 15-29 patients daily.  Ages range from 7-70. Responsible for in-patient management and treatment of patients with schizophrenia, major depression, bipolar disorder, chemical dependence, and anxiety disorders. 

Worked full-time in the community mental health outpatient clinics of Baldwin County, Alabama. Main job function is to provide medication checks and psychological evaluations.  Provides services to children and adolescents ages 5-19 approximately 3.5 days per week. Provided services for adults ages 19-70 approximately 1.5 days per week.  Responsible for reviewing medications, assessing client’s psychological status, diagnosing psychiatric disorders and conditions, ordering laboratory tests, coordination of care, educating families and clients about medications and diagnosis, making referrals for psychological and IQ testing as indicated

An initial visit with a provider involves a medical history review, an assessment of your specific symptoms and concerns, and possible diagnostic tests to evaluate a patient's health, identify issues, and develop and discuss treatment options.

A follow-up visit with a provider involves checking the progress of the patient's treatment plan, assessing any new symptoms or concerns, and adjusting the treatment plan as needed to ensure optimal health outcomes.

Follow-up Visit

A prescription service appointment with a provider typically involves a brief review of his/her existing patient's medical history, confirming the need for the prescription service, and issuing a new prescription. It may also involve evaluating any side effects or concerns related to the medication and ensuring that the treatment plan is still appropriate for the patient's needs.
