As an acute care hospitalist NP, I have provided comprehensive care to a diverse patient population with complex medical and psychiatric needs. My role has involved managing acute illnesses, chronic conditions, and mental health crises in inpatient setting. I have collaborated closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes, from stabilization to discharge planning. My experience includes performing diagnostic assessments, managing pharmacological therapies, and supporting patients with mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders. I’ve worked to improve patient outcomes by using best practices while providing care that’s compassionate and focused on each patient’s needs.

Since 2009, I have worked as a registered nurse in a variety of settings, including inpatient psychiatric facilities, medical-surgical units, and acute care environments. Each experience has been rewarding in its own way, allowing me to grow both personally and professionally. Working in a psych inpatient facility, in particular, taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and effective communication when supporting individuals through some of their most challenging moments. These experiences provided me with a solid foundation in both physical and mental health care, shaping my ability to deliver well-rounded, compassionate care to diverse patient populations.

A prescription service appointment with a provider typically involves a brief review of his/her existing patient's medical history, confirming the need for the prescription service, and issuing a new prescription. It may also involve evaluating any side effects or concerns related to the medication and ensuring that the treatment plan is still appropriate for the patient's needs.
