Board-Certified Family & Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Responsible for diagnosing and treating psychiatric disorders, usually through medication. 
Assess mood, personality and behavioral disorders, discussing symptoms with patients to determine a diagnosis and prescribing medication to correct chemical imbalances in the patient’s brain
Treat a patient using psychotherapeutic methods and medication, monitoring the effects of any medication and adjusting treatment where necessary
Provide crisis intervention when needed
Write and maintain patient and clinical records, including the type of treatment and medication administered.

Nurse Practitioner (APRN)

Collect, order, and interpret lab work and diagnostic studies under agreed upon protocols
Perform a complete admission history and physical and dictate discharge summaries  
Write admission orders for routine hospitalizations
Assess the client and family discharge needs to SNF, Hospice, LTAC and coordinate referrals. 
Educate and counsel clients on treatment options and expected outcomes
Works closely with the LCSW to secure needed resources, link with other providers, all parts of managing care


Nurse Practitioner (ARNP)

An initial visit with a provider typically includes a medical history review, an assessment of your specific symptoms and concerns, and a treatment plan. 

Diagnosis, management, and treatment of mental health disorders through medication-focused treatments, delivering personalized medication strategies to enhance patients' mental well-being.

A follow-up visit with a provider involves checking the progress of the patient's treatment plan, assessing any new symptoms or managing side-effects of the treatment plan.  

Prescription Fulfillment enables providers to prescribe medications efficiently, ensuring patients receive the correct treatment promptly.

PSYCHIATRY EVALUATION
