I'm Amy Read, and I'm a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Adult & Geriatric Acute Care with a passion for health and wellness through functional medicine. My journey began with personal struggles—pain, brain fog, IBS, and memory issues—that left me fearing the worst. Once cleared of serious conditions, I chose not to settle for "nothing can be done." I turned to functional medicine, fought hard, and reclaimed my life.
Now, I embrace life fully, whether juggling roles or finding joy as a mother to six cherished children. The beach is my sanctuary—where the sun energizes and the waves inspire.

My approach to treatment is goal-centered and focuses on understanding the unique needs and goals of each patient to develop a personalized plan of care to identify the root cause of the problem. I believe in taking a holistic approach to health care that considers the patient's broader social context, including their families and communities. ADHD Initial Evaluation and Diagnosis
Includes diagnostic testing for ADHD diagnosis followed by a 30 minute visit with your provider for official ADHD diagnosis and treatment recommendation. Ongoing treatment with monthly package or you can choose to pay each visit as you go. Stimulants will require 1 in person visit every 2 years. Provider travels between multiple locations throughout your state.

Virtual visit for urgent health conditions such as throat pain, Ear, Nose, or Throat Problems, Cold, Flu, Cough, Rash, or other Skin Problem, Sinus Problems & Sinusitis, and Urinary Tract Infections.These appointments can typically be made for same the day so that you can get to feeling better ASAP! This is an in person visit for Mental Health & Medical Concerns. Treatment plans combine conventional and functional medicine approaches so that you can achieve optimal results and overall wellness. Clients who are treated with stimulants for ADHD will require one in person visit every 2 years prior to receiving a controlled substance prescription due to State and Federal Regulations. Mindfulness and Your Health
Mindfulness is integral to your health care goals. Mindfulness-based treatments have been shown to reduce anxiety, depression, and stress.
In the program you will start with the introduction to mindfulness and learn the basics of mindfulness. You will learn the different types of mindfulness and begin to determine what type of mindfulness is for you and will work best in your life. Once that is completed you will then move onto the course building a winning mindset.

The Elimination Diet
The elimination diet is at the core of functional medicine and is aimed to help with repairing your gut and identifying sensitivities even when you do not believe that you have one! This program is a video guided self study that you can complete at your convenience. This diet is the Gold Standard when you are trying to identify food allergies and sensitivities. This program is designed to be completed while doing a full elimination diet and typically takes 4-6 weeks.

EKG Add On For In Person Visit
EKG'S are required at minimum once every 2 years for all clients that are on stimulant therapy. For clients that would like to complete the EKG at the in person visit I am able to complete a 6L EKG. The EKG will identify concerning rhythms that could be fatal if mixed with a stimulant medication.

Neuropsychological Testing
Neuropsychological testing is required for all new ADHD diagnosis's that are eligible to be treated with stimulant medications and that have never had neuropsychological testing. I also use the neuropsychological testing to evaluate treatment response. I use QbCheck for this diagnostic evaluation. It is a computer-based test that objectively measures the core signs of ADHD: Hyperactivity, Impulsivity and Inattention. Includes testing and a follow up visit to review results.
