Monitor blood pressure, blood glucose and blood pressure in patients regularly and manage medications during weight loss. Manage inpatient insulin infusions and outpatient insulin pumps. Order, place, and manage Continuous Glucose Monitoring Systems. Manage end-stage cancer as well as renal and liver failure patients on complex insulin regimens. Manage patients after kidney, liver, pancreas and heart surgeries including status post new organ transplant. Obtain and record health histories, perform physical examinations, order appropriate diagnostic tests, provide health teaching and counseling, initiate referrals, take evening and weekend call for the department, and maintain health records.
 

Family Nurse Practitioner

Provided primary care services to patients across the lifespan. Interview clients, obtain health histories, perform physical and developmental assessments including Pap smears, Medicare AWV’s, DOT physicals, and order appropriate diagnostic tests. Medical weight loss management including but not limited to prescribing Phentermine, Semaglutide and Contrave with close patient supervision. Medical management of mental health disorders including but not limited to major depression, anxiety, ADD/ADHD, and sleep disorders. Male and female HRT management. Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illness including bacterial and viral infections, diabetes, thyroid disease, obesity and metabolic syndrome. Providing dietary and general health teaching and counseling, initiating referrals, post-op and hospital follow-up visits and maintaining health records with appropriate follow up.
